The Lemon Bay Historical Society has planned another in its series of guest speakers at the Historic Green Street Church Museum, 510 S. Indiana Ave., Englewood.
7 p.m. April 23:
Our guest will be Tome Shaaltiel, Education Coordinator of Cedar Point Environmental Park. She will share the benefits of a diverse selection of nature programs and some of the exciting secrets that may be found on a nature walk through the park.
Cedar Point is one of the last remaining large tracts of undeveloped land on Lemon Bay in Charlotte County. With 115 acres pine flatwoods cover over 60 % of the park, Cedar Point also has scrub, scrubby flatwoods, mangrove swamps, salt marshes, and wetlands.
The program is free and open to the public. Any donations are always welcome.
Our Mission: “perpetuating the legacy of the past and honoring the pioneer settlers of the Lemon Bay area.”

The Green Street Church
The Historical Society is responsible for maintaining the historic Green Street Church building and its property. These expenses include lawn mowing, water, electricity, landscaping maintenance, insurance, taxes, building upkeep, etc.
