Just in time for Halloween, Charlie Bush, one-time custodian for the Lemon Bay Cemetery in Englewood, will share some little known information about this historic burial ground. Charlie also promises to relate some interesting, if not completely believable experiences he and others have reported regarding a few of our local “ghosts.” Many early Englewood pioneers are laid to rest at this cemetery which was established on top of a rare sand ridge.
Mr. Bush will speak on Tuesday, October 24th at 7pm at the historic Green Street Church. Come learn about the “Secrets of the Cemetery.” Admission is free and all are invited to attend. Light refreshments will be served.
Charlie Bush is a past President of the Lemon Bay Historical Society, founded in 1985 as a non-profit organization whose mission is “for the specific purposes of perpetuating the legacy of the past and honoring the pioneer settlers of the Lemon Bay area.”
