Sarasota County's 100 Birthday!
7:00 PM-8:00 PMJanuary 28, 2020Historic Green Street Church510 S Indiana Ave, Englewood, FL 34223, USAOn July 1, 1921 Sarasota County was born, splitting away from the old county of Manatee. In 2021 the entire county will be celebrating our 100th Birthday!
Dr. Frank Cassell, historian and author, will give us the who, what, where and when of the upcoming county-wide celebration. Frank is a member of the Sarasota County Historical Commission and the History and Preservation Coalition of Sarasota County, a retired history professor and university president and has published books and articles on American history including Suncoast Empire and Creating Sarasota County.
Join us on the 4th Tuesday in January at 7pm at our Historic Green Street Church.
